HOUSE CONCERTS

What is a House Concert?

• They are invitation-only concerts in the comfort of your own home.  One thing you gotta love about house concerts is how up-close and personal you can get with the artist.  They are incredibly intimate and will provide you and your guests with an unforgettable memory!

How much is it?

• The fee is negotiable to some degree based on Dale's schedule and other performances he may have in your area.  Just contact us and let's see what we can work out.  Read more about house concerts and requirements for them below.  Questions?  CONTACT us.

What are the Requirements?

• We ask that you provide a piano in good condition, tuned up just prior (within a week) to the concert. The piano doesn't have to be a grand piano, just a piano that plays well, with working keys and pedals. Even a small upright is fine.

• We also ask that you be willing to help promote the show to your friends, family, and acquaintances, and that you commit to doing your best to bring at least 20-30 people into your home.

• CONTACT us and see what we can work out based on Dale's tour schedule and availability.  Tip: Some folks will ask a $10/person donation from attendees to help pay the fee or even just to put that toward supporting Dale's music. That's fine by us.  Also, please read the info below about travel expenses.

TRAVEL EXPENSES

If you're in the Riverton, Utah area, there are no travel expenses to worry about as Riverton is Dale's home town and he can drive to you.  If you're booking Dale as part of a concert tour, which means he sent you an email notifying you about his touring in your area and you're responding to that, then you probably won't need to worry about travel expenses either.  We've worked that into our $500 fee, so if we can book several shows in one area, our expenses are covered by that.

However, if Dale is flying out just for your show, then travel expenses need to be taken into consideration.  He will go pretty much anywhere within the U.S. to play a concert so long as his basic expenses (air, car rental and accommodations) are covered.  When you CONTACT US, just let us  know where you're located and we can give you a general price range of what to expect.  If you don't think you can afford that, contact us anyway.  We may be able to include you on a tour route at some point in the near future, and if we can do that, you don't need to worry about travel expenses. Feel free to e-mail us to discuss the possibilities.

SPONSORSHIPS

For help paying our fee, consider asking a local business or business person to cover our fee for the event.  In exchange, you can print their business information on a program.  Plus, we would be happy to give them a public acknowledgment/word of appreciation at the concert.

PIANO REQUIREMENTS

All we ask is that you have a piano in good working condition.  The pedals must work and all the keys must play.  Naturally, Dale prefers a 'grand' piano when he's playing in a concert setting, but it's not necessary.  Dale will play an upright if it's in good working order (especially for house concerts).  We also request that you have the piano tuned just prior to the event - this is especially the case for formal concerts and house concerts.  For shows at book stores, malls, coffee shops and the like, just having had the piano tuned within the last six months is usually sufficient.

PIANO RENTALS

If you are in Utah, Dale can rent a very nice digital piano (along with speakers) and bring it along for $150. This is in addition to the normal fee. If you live in an area where Dale would have to hop on a plane, then we would expect you to provide the piano.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR A DALE CONCERT?

Note:  At events like weddings, dinner parties, book stores and such, Dale simply plays his music as background music.   But at formal concerts, things are a bit different...

• Time: Expect a concert to run about 2 hours with a break.  If you have a specific program length in mind, shorter or longer, it can be arranged.

• A Good Time: Dale loves to have a good time and loves to meet new people.  With Dale's ability to win peoples hearts through words and music, there won't be a dull moment..trust us!  Dale's concerts are not boring!  He will speak to you, the audience, as he would a close friend...and that's a good thing!  He will let the audience see and understand his heart's desires so they can better relate to the music they're hearing.  It's this approach to a performance that makes it such an unforgettable experience.
